How does health coaching work?

Creating habits and behaviors to improve well-being does not happen overnight and is often difficult to maintain. Working with a Health Coach empowers you to overcome challenges and create habits that are sustainable and support lasting behavior change.

Through my health coaching programs, I work with you, one-on-one, as your ally. You decide which aspect of your resilience-building journey you want to focus on. I do not dictate what you need to do. Instead, I help you explore options and provide you with resources and tools if needed, that can help you make informed decisions and achieve self-determined goals.

FAQs :

  • Health coaching is a process in which a trained professional, known as a health coach, works with individuals or groups to help them achieve their health goals. Health coaching involves assessing an individual's current health status, identifying areas for improvement, and creating a personalized plan for achieving those goals.

  • Health coaching can provide numerous benefits, including improved physical and mental health, increased knowledge and awareness of healthy habits and behaviors, and increased motivation and accountability for achieving health goals.

  • Anyone who is looking to improve their health can benefit from health coaching. Health coaching can be particularly helpful for individuals who are struggling to make healthy changes on their own, or who have a specific health condition that requires specialized support and guidance.

  • During a health coaching session, you can expect to discuss your current health status, your goals, and any challenges or obstacles that you may be facing. I will work with you to develop a personalized plan to achieve your goals, which may include diet and nutrition advice, exercise recommendations, stress-management techniques, and other lifestyle changes.

  • Health coaching results are not guaranteed. The success of a health coaching program depends on a variety of factors, including the individual's commitment to making healthy changes, the complexity of the health issues being addressed, and the quality of the coaching relationship. While a health coach can provide guidance, support, and accountability, ultimately it is up to the individual to make the necessary changes to achieve their health goals. However, many individuals who work with a health coach do report significant improvements in their overall health and well-being.
